Testimonial:
“Anna was lovely and made the whole process less daunting and easy to understand. She was very professional and understanding and made me feel like I was being listened to and had a say in what was happening. She took the time to explain what was going to happen and made sure my ex and I were on the same page in terms of our son. Would definitely recommend Turning Point Mediation and Anna to help” October 2024
Frequently Asked Questions
Our approach is designed to provide exceptional value:
What is the duration of the mediation process?
The number of mediation sessions required varies based on the complexity of the issues. Typically, it involves 2 to 5 meetings or in the case of commercial, civil and workplace mediation this normally takes 6-10 hours in one day to complete.
Can I bring someone to my mediation session?
During the initial appointment, you will meet the mediator individually. Mediation is legally privileged between the parties involved, so others cannot normally accompany you. Discuss this thoroughly with your mediator for them to fully understand your reasons. For example if step parents are involved do both parties agree to them attending and in what capacity.
Is mediation suitable for my situation?
Our family mediation in Leeds can help individuals and families experiencing relationship breakdowns, whether married, unmarried, or in a civil partnership. It’s also valuable for grandparents seeking contact with grandchildren or for anyone needing structured agreements about finances or parenting.
Our civil mediation service offers support to individuals dealing with conflict with a neighbour(s), a family member(s) or business to find solutions.
Our commercial and workplace mediation service offers invaluable support to diffuse conflict and keep everyone out of court by finding mutual respect, and understanding of everyone’s perspectives and moving forward with solutions and reviews to ensure it’s success.
Benefits of Mediation
Our transformative mediation service offers numerous advantages over traditional legal proceedings:
Cost-Effective: Mediation is generally more affordable than court litigation.
Time-Saving: Resolutions are typically reached faster, allowing you to move forward sooner.
Preserve Relationships: Mediation fosters cooperation, which is particularly beneficial in family and workplace settings.
